This yoga brunch offer a 60 min slow Vinyasa practice followed by a 30 min Yoga Nidra, known as yogic sleep. It is a meditation and conscious relaxation practice that is intended to induce total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation.

After the practice we swiftly turn the yoga shalla into a family dining room! You will be served a spring inspired vegetarian brunch. The practice as well as the food is lovingly prepared by Liz and Anna! This a a relaxing and nourishing way to spend a Sunday morning away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. Open to Spring: Working with the Wood Element to Dream

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) the element of Wood is associated with Spring and our Vision, Imagination and Dreams. Spring is a time of newness, growth and expansion.

Just the like trees branch out in spring and take root, so too can our intentions, desires and dreams open, and burst forth into life. The Wood element is about renewal, awakening and rebirth.

The Wood element in Chinese Medicine is linked to the Liver and Gallbladder Meridians. Energetically, the Liver smooths the flow of Qi and thus allows us to create and execute change. The Gallbladder is necessary for the change to occur, as it is the organ responsible for making decisions. When we target these areas in our YIN practice, we stimulate the energy flow in Meridians and energy channels that may have been previously blocked which can have an effect of on clearing the body-mind-spirit connection. 

Join me for a grounding YIN YOGA sequence of hip openers, side bends, inner leg stretches and twists and we will conclude with a grounding YOGA NIDRA practice which will invite a time for Awakening and giving birth to our Dreams!!

Workshop is suitable for all levels but not for pregnant students.

What do you learn?

Fill your tool-kit with experiential anatomy practices and selfcare strategies to heighten your understanding of the upper torso and its limbs. Improve strength, mobility and integrated body awareness. You’ll be guided through a variety of hands-on adjustments, assessments, injury scenarios and meditation. Gain insight on incorporating novel shoulder movements into your classroom (or personal practice) while improving your teaching performance.

Each day begins with a performance-focused workshop that incorporates self-massage techniques using a variety of Roll Model® Therapy Balls followed by a movement-based session loaded with out-of-the box moves. Master the multiple simple and complex articulations of the upper body to improve posture and performance while reducing pain.

Focus on the functional anatomy of the shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, head and neck for 3 days of dynamic embodiment.

This Shoulders Immersion Training course is appropriate for students and movement educators who wish to deepen their knowledge and somatic understanding of the human body.

About the teacher: Dinneen Viggiano 

Empowering self-care through anatomy education, therapeutic movement & nutrition, Dinneen is an experienced movement expert with over 15 years’ experience.

She’s a Yoga Tune Up® & Roll Model® Senior Teacher Trainer, a NeuroKinetic Therapist, a CranioSacral Therapist, a Certified Nutrition Counselor, and a Certified Holistic Health Coach.  In New York City, Dinneen teaches classes  and workshops at Yoga Works, Equinox and CATA.  She also teaches workshops and teacher trainings in the US, Canada and Europe.

She specializes in back care, improving digestion and immunity, and reducing systemic inflammation.
Dinneen’s also a contributing writer for Yoga Living Magazine, Yoga Tune Up® and her very own Phytoblog. 
She advocates, educates and coaches for plant-strong, holistic, pain-free living.

Safe & Effective Adjustments with Rohan Hennessy

From complete beginners to experienced yogis, adjustments play a major role in developing a safe and beneficial yoga practice. From correcting alignment and improving technique to helping a student develop better awareness of body and breath. A good yoga teacher knows when to help a student go deeper into an asana and when to pull them back a little. When to use a steadying hand and when to let go. How much pressure is enough and where it should be applied, and when is a verbal adjustment more effective than a physical one.

In this workshop we will be looking at the why (and why not), when and how of adjusting classical yoga asanas. We will demonstrate, discuss and work with each other hands on to improve our knowledge and understanding, aiming to help our students (and ourselves) find the perfect point in each asana.

The morning consists of a calm and relaxed yoga practice to suit all levels. We like to create yoga situations where we can also interact socially. Come and join Liz and Anna for this Spring Yoga Brunch; a 2 hour all-level workshop followed by a lovely homemade vegetarian brunch. After a soothing grounding and a gentle gentle warm we will engage in an energising practice including several twists to help the body and mind to get ready for the new season. We finish the practice with a relaxing savasana and a short meditation. All together a fantastic way to spend a Sunday morning.

After the practice, and when you have worked up the appetite, everyone is invited to sit around a nicely laid out table with several dishes to enjoy. All prepared by your hosts. ( Liz and Anna are both keen cooks !)
